Occupational Therapy (OT) is highly holistic in nature, looking at not only the deficits impacting a client's quality of life, but also the relationship between the client’s strengths, resources, motivation, roles, and environments. Treatment focus also includes education and training for preventive care and wellness promotion. OT pairs beautifully with the holistic modalities of Yoga and Polarity Therapy, as all three aim for overall balance and wellbeing.
Jennifer is the founder of EVOLVE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY PLLC. and has over 20 years of combined clinical and supervisory experience in psychiatric, outpatient rehab clinic, special education, private sensory gym and early intervention. Jennifer provides private therapeutic services to clients of all ages who, because of illness, injury, developmental delays, or psychological problems, require to learn/relearn the skills needed to lead independent, productive, and satisfying lives. Jennifer has a wide range of experience and training: Neuro-Developmental Treatment Approach, Myofasical Release, manual facilitation for neuromuscular movement disorders (i.e. CP, MS, Parkinson) to increase overall coordination and mobility. Jennifer is also a seating and mobility specialist motivated to provide wheelchair evaluation and training.
Children love working with Jennifer as Pediatric OT is all about learning through play! Jennifer specializes in working with children with Autism Spectrum disorders. She uses Sensory Integration modalities to increase attention, communication, self-care independence, gross and fine motor coordination, and perceptual skills. Jennifer not only works with the child, but can provide education and training for the family to ensure consistent carry over and growth.
Private Sessions are available and can be combined with Yoga and Polarity Therapy tools. All sessions begin with a comprehensive evaluation.
